After completing his well-received, 54-city European Tour, Lenny Kravitz, one of the world's best-known rock performers, returns to the U.S. to celebrate the 28th anniversary of his debut album, “Let Love Rule.” His will be the closing performance at New Orleans' Voodoo Music Experience on Sunday, November 1st. Kravitz will join the Halloween weekend celebration which flaunts the bohemian nature of New Orleans, his part-time home. Kravitz is known for his signature sound, music flavored with a combination of classic rock, soul, funk and pop. Material from Kravitz's 20-year music career will be included at the festival. Kravitz will be joining Voodoo's line-up of performances from Eminem, KISS, Jane's Addiction and Widespread Panic, to name a few of the 150 acts expected to perform. The show will be rapper Eminem’s first full concert performance in four years and the only concert performance he has scheduled for 2009. The lineup for this year’s festival includes pre-grunge heroes Jane’s Addiction, the always curious Flaming Lips and DJ duo Justice spread across multiple stages during the three-day weekend festival. Set in New Orleans City Park among the live oaks and bayous for the 11th year in a row, the Voodoo Music Experience has become a New Orleans tradition that attracts fans from all over the world. |
